History: ODR-C 30th Anniversary

This product was built to commemorate the 30th anniversary of my development of the ODR-1 in a limited edition of 200 and is now no longer available.

ODR-C 30th AnniversaryAbout 30 years ago - in late 1992 - I built the final ODR-1 prototype and released it for series production.

On this occasion there is now a small anniversary in the form of a special ODR-C version. I chose white as the color. More precisely: "Bianco Madreperla". And to celebrate the day with some glitter in it too. The imprint is in gold to match the footswitch.

The edition is ~200 units!

It is like the "normal" ODR-C but there are two technological innovations:

Switch Normal/High Gain - Low Gain

The ODR-C is very often used as a low gain overdrive. Also often referred to as the "Always On" pedal. Unfortunately, due to the system, this area cannot be controlled so finely. So I thought of a technical trick and installed an "H/L" switch for . This makes it possible to set the low gain range much finer.

The LED lights up for identification:

  • Low Gain Operation LED = Red - Switch position is down
  • High gain operation (normal operation) = Blue - Switch position is up

Presence switch (internal)

I have installed a presence switch especially for "low gain" users. This allows significantly more "highs" through.

See frequency chart:

 Presence Switch

  • Orange: Presence Switch Off "Normal"
  • Gray: Presence Switch On

Unfortunately, since there is no longer any reasonable space at the top, I had to banish the switch to the inside. To do this, the bottom cover must be opened (as when inserting/changing the battery) and the desired position selected. Unfortunately, you have to decide whether "With" or "Without". I know it's impractical... sorry!

Otherwise this 30th Anniversary version is just like the "normal" ODR-C.
